COVID-19 Re-Opening

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER 1 PRIORITY – Updated 7/6/20

Guidelines

  • If you are sick, stay home
  • Athletes are required to wear masks in and out of the facility. To make this easier, we provided masks to every athlete with their team name.
  • Athletes should bring their own water bottle, labeled with their name.
  • Athletes will maintain distancing while in the facility.
  • We are following all State and local guidelines, with direction from the CDC and USASF Return to all star.
  • Every Member of our staff will be wearing a mask or facial shield during business hours.
  • Drop off: At the front of the building
  • Pick Up: Behind the building near the garage door.
  • Since we do not have the ability to have spectators in the gym during practices, our coaching staff will be posting daily videos on each team’s BAND group.
  • Athletes not able to physically be at practice can participate VIA ZOOM and participate in conditioning and drills at home.

Cleaning Processes

  • Lobby and high touch surfaces are disinfected in between each classes check in. This includes wiping down counters, moping floors with bleach, and cleaning restrooms where athletes wash their hands.
  • Athletes do not share equipment, including tumbling on the same space as others. Athletes are given their own space for skills, and do not touch the same surfaces as other athletes.
  • All equipment (Including carpet on spring floors) are disinfected after each use. This includes spraying the entire floor with hospital grade sanitizer in between classes and practices. The drying time is appx 10 minutes, which is why we have gaps in the schedule for cleaning.

Athlete Check in

  • Athletes arrive in masks.
  • Athletes have their temperatures checked at the door prior to entering the gym facility. Any athlete with a temperature over 99.4 will be sent home.
  • After temperature check, athletes will change into cheer shoes, and they will be disinfected with Lysol.
  • Athletes sanitize hands
  • Athletes wash hands with soap and water
  • Athletes are directed to a place on the floor (separated by no less than 6’)
  • After class, athletes will leave out garage door, with masks on, maintaining distancing. This exit is in the back of the building.  Please pull to the back parking lot for pick up.

In the event of an exposure (athlete OR staff), the following measures will be taken:

  • Secondary Exposure: When an athlete or staff member is in contact with someone who was in contact with a confirmed positive case.
    • The WE member will stay home for 14 days, or until the person they were in contact with receives a negative test.
  • Immediate contact: When an athlete or staff member is in contact with a confirmed positive case.  This is for one-time contact.
    • If no symptoms, WE member may return 14 days after contact, or after receiving a negative test
    • If symptoms appear, can return 14 days after the last symptom as long as test is negative.
    • If positive, follow positive Member guidelines.
  • Immediate Continued Contact: When an athlete or staff member is in contact with a confirmed positive test and has continued contact (Living with) a positive case.
    • Member will stay home 14 after the positive-confirmed case is released from stay-home orders by the Health Department.
      • If the member tests positive during this time, they will follow Positive Member guidelines before return.
    • Positive Cases for Members Guidelines
      • If a member (athlete or any member of staff) is confirmed positive case
        • All teams/classes with contact will be notified
        • No return for the positive case member until the stay at home order is released.

The wearing of a mask is mandatory for entry and exit of the facility. Staff will be wearing masks or shields at all times.

SPOTTING

Coaches will not be spotting or physically touching athletes unless during a private lesson. This is to limit cross contamination by spotting multiple athletes in a single session. Coaches will sanitize, spot private lesson athlete, then sanitize again. This process is not possible during group/team activities.

ARE YOU DOING ANY EXTRA CLEANING?

Yes, we are! We have designed a three phase cleaning system to ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly. Before class, during class and after class. Including vacuuming mats daily, high touch point sanitizing between classes and disinfecting all surfaces including the mats end of every day.

HOW WILL YOU DO CONTACT TRACING?

We will be using our attendance portal. We will know all athletes & staff who have been in our gym and will be able to do rapid contact tracing should it be suggested by the Health Department.  We do ask however, if you think your information is out dated please advise us.  Coaches will have access to all athletes details on our CRM system.

WILL SANITIZING STATIONS BE AVAILABLE?

Yes, we will have athletes hand sanitizer available throughout the venue.  We will also sanitize before, during and after practice.

WHAT ABOUT PHYSICAL DISTANCING?

At Level 2, we will be marking the floors in approx 6ft spaces to ensure athletes stay socially distanced. As well as using floor marking and arrows to keep distance while moving around the venue. Plus we will be staggering class start and end times to allow a 15 minute buffer between classes to ensure there is no congregating.

COMING BACK TO THE GYM – WHAT WILL BE DIFFERENT?

Things will be different to how they were the last time you were in the gym, as we need to ensure distancing and athlete number limits.  We will not be stunting, running routines or doing pyramids at this stage.  Nor will coaches be allowed to spot any skills.  You will also notice the gym floor is marked and other social distancing markers throughout the facility.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR STAFF?

Our staff have undergone training and will be abiding by all physical distancing.  Coaches have been given scripts for the health survey on entry and the health & safety reminder to go through at the start of every class.  Along with training on our new entry and exit system.

HOW WILL YOU LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THE RESTRICTIONS?
