Q) What is ALL-Star CHEERLEADING?

A) All Star Cheer is an 11 month sport for athletes of all ages.  It is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. While they were born in the US, there are All Star teams in many other countries including China, Australia, Canada, Mexico and England.

Teams practice May – March and competitions run from December – March. All Star Cheerleading has been established in the South and Eastern US for years and is quickly growing in the Northwest, with over 100 teams in Washington alone.

Q) Can I Come to the gym to practice before Try Outs?

A) Yes, you are welcome to take a class, come to team clinics the week(s) prior to tryouts, or work out during open gym! All you need is a completed registration and waiver form is necessary before practicing: Please contact the gym office for a current schedule.

Q) When are Try Out for the 2018-19 Season?

A) All Star Try Outs will take place in May.  Stay tuned for details!

Q) Is there a Try Out fee? What should I bring?

A) Yes, there is a Try Out fee of $100 for new members and $50 for returning members (Register on or before the parent meeting to receive a discounted price!). Please bring the following: Registration & Waiver form completely filled out; a Certified Copy of your Birth Certificate; Wear Shorts & T-Shirt, Tennis/Cheer Shoes. Please wear your hair up in a pony tail. Don’t forget a water bottle.

Q) Can people watch Try Outs?

A) Sorry, Try-Outs are CLOSED to the public, family, and friends.

Q) Are Try Outs hard, scary or intimidating? What are Try Outs like?

A) Try Outs are not scary. They can actually be a lot of fun! You will be asked to perform a short routine taught to you at the Try Outs for the coaching staff. Do not be scared, you do not need to be perfect. No prior experience is necessary to be on one of our all star teams.

Q) Do I have to tumble to make the team?

A) We have teams for all levels. Everyone makes a team! No previous experience is necessary. TUMBLING IS NOT A REQUIREMENT to begin with a Prep team.

Q) What if I can not make Try Outs? Will there be another Try Out session?

A) It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you attend the May Try Out; however, we will allow athletes a private Try Out session if the need arises. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to call us! We look forward to meeting you!

Q) If I change my mind, will I get a refund?

A)  Washington Extreme does not offer refunds.  When possible, we try to accommodate enrollment requests by offering substitutions for alternate classes, etc.
